I know what you think already $6.00 for a map! Isn't there a free one online somewhere that I can download. Well I'm sure there is, but this map is not just a little printed out paper that gets soggy and wet and looks like a used tissue after your first 10 minutes on the trail. This things durable waterproof paper, with tons more information than the entire internet. (alright thats BS.) But you get the point.
If waterproof wasn't enough to get you interested, than you probably would like to know that the proceeds go to some really great folks. They benefit the Friends of Raystown Lake who leased the land that the trails are on (probably a worthy cause), and the Raystown Mountain Bike Association ( the friendly folks who are on the trail more often with tools than bikes) So if you'd like to moan about the steep $6.00 than thats fine but please don't leave your wadded up piece of notebook paper on the side of the trail, cause I hate picking them up!
The map was a collaborative effort with the Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau, Rothrock Outfitters, RMBA, and FisherWorks consulting. The new map provides numerous additions essential to knowing the most about the area where you are planning to ride.
The map is printed on a treated water resistant paper and folds out to a 20”x18” size, with half the system on one side and half on the other. A portion of the proceeds benefits Raystown Mountain Bike Assoc. (RMBA) and The Friends of Raystown Lake.
